How we work

From the first question to lasting results

We work the way entrepreneurs build companies. We don't spend months on analysis before anything happens. We get close to the problem, form a view quickly, test it against reality and build what works. Most of our engagements follow four stages, but we move back and forth between them as we learn.

  1. Understand

We go to where the work happens: talk to customers, sit with the teams, look at the real numbers.

  2. Test

We turn the big assumptions into quick tests, so decisions rest on evidence instead of opinions.

  3. Build

We build the solution together with your people, in small steps, and adjust as we go.

  4. Deliver

We stay until the results are in place, and hand over a business that runs without us.

The work is sized to the question

Some problems need a few intense weeks. Others need a partner who stays in the trenches for months. These are the most common ways we work.

See six typical engagements

Focused sprint

A few intense weeks on one important question, ending with a clear answer and a plan you can start on the next day.

A few weeks

Build projects

A defined project with a clear goal: a new strategy, a new organisation or a new business, built and launched together.

One to several months

Hands-on in your team

We step into your organisation and do the work alongside your people while the change is carried out.

As long as needed

Sparring partner

A partner for a founder, leader or board who wants a straight, entrepreneurial view when big questions come up.

Agreed over time

Six principles we keep to

01

Think like an owner

We treat your business and your money as if they were our own, and give advice we would follow ourselves.

02

Test before you invest

Small, fast tests beat long debates. We let evidence settle the arguments.

03

Build, don't just advise

We do the work with you. A recommendation is only the start.

04

Plain language

No jargon and no hundred-page decks. If an idea cannot be explained simply, it is not ready.

05

Your people, your result

We build with your team, so the result belongs to them and keeps working after we leave.

06

Agreed scope and cost

You know the goal, the plan and the cost before we start. No surprises along the way.

Good to know

How does an engagement start?

With an informal conversation about where you are and where you want to go. If we are a good fit, you get a short proposal with the goal, the plan and the cost, and we can usually start quickly.

What size of task do you take on?

Everything from a few intense weeks on one question to longer engagements where we work inside your organisation. We size the work to the problem.

Where do you work?

With clients in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. We go where the work is, on site when it helps and remotely when that is more practical.

How do you work with our team?

As part of it. We sit with your people, share what we learn as we go and make sure your organisation can carry the work on without us.

How do you handle confidential information?

Carefully. What you share with us stays between us, and we are happy to sign a confidentiality agreement before we start.

Got something to build? Let's talk

Tell us briefly what you are working on. We will get back to you quickly to find a time to talk, with no obligation.
